These mixed media works revisit my infatuation with the early 19th Century naturalists. My work has consistently explored the idea of Place as I respond to my rural environment. Many of these works take on the format of a page in a journal; the neutral background, “floating” naturalistic renderings, text, and the abundant negative space. These investigations into the order and chaos of the natural world specifically reflect the locale of southern Colorado.
