In the 60 plus one person exhibits that the artist has presented throughout the United States his work has always focused on Connections. In this particular series, Still and Centered Point the initial work is developed in sketches using sight observation of the panoramic vista sites of the southern Colorado region. This particular work takes this sight observation as a point of departure and transposes it into what the artist believes is a broader abstract visual language, also utilizing industrial/architectural materials in collage form. The circular rings address shifts in time and portrays generational placements. The focus is the central circular form, a lens of sorts. This circular framed space and time is a metaphor juxtaposed on the western horizon, hopefully connecting the viewer with the poetics of this particular moment.
